Overview

The London Borough of Camden covers an area of 22 square kilometres (2,180 hectares) of inner London, north of the West End and City of London. The Council provides services across the Borough to a diverse range of social and economic conditions and has consistently led the way with Internet initiatives.

Solution

BOCC manages several dedicated secure servers for the London Borough of Camden (LBC).  Just some of the secure systems located on the servers hosted at BOCC include:

  • An integrated accounts online system to allow residents and businesses in Camden to view their own account details, check bill payments have gone through and obtain the latest information on council tax bands and business rates.
  • A secure online payments system that provides a customer-facing web interface to review Council Tax, Business Rates and Parking Fine account balances and make payments using credit and debit cards.  The system provides authentication and online authorisation for the variety of services available.
  • Secure storage and replication of traffic contravention data and CCTV images that are updated on the site daily from internal systems at LBC.

Hosting Contract

The scope of the hosting contract includes:

  • Dedicated managed multiple web server hosting accounts;
  • Remote secure access via VPN for LBC; staff and data replication and transfer;

  • SSL secure server certificate.
