As an Adobe Solution Partner, BOCC keeps up-to-date about the latest updates and upgrades to the programming technologies we utilise everyday, such as ColdFusion, Flex and Flash. Staff attend regular ‘forum’ meetings, so that they can share knowledge and discuss and resolve development issues. These can then be reported back to other staff and utilised to great effect internally.
As a member of the British Computer Society (BCS) BOCC can keep up-to-date on the latest news and standards within the industry. Our staff attend local and national based meetings to share knowledge and discuss related topics and issues with peers.
Having membership of The Society of Information Technology Management (SOCITM) means that our staff can keep up-to-date with the latest standards, best practice guidelines and advice on supplying ICT products and services to the public sector.
The UK Web Design Association (UKWDA) is the Web Standards Organisation in the UK. The organisation was set-up to encourage and promote industry standards within the British web design and new media sector, which BOCC adheres to.
Nominet is the official registry for ‘.uk’ Internet names. Nominet is based in the nearby area of Sandford Gate in Oxford. BOCC can directly register ‘.co.uk’ and ‘.org.uk’ domain names and others such as .com and other national registries. BOCC also has specialist knowledge of ‘.ac.uk’ and ‘.gov.uk’ domain name application procedures.
