Disaster Recovery Services
BOCC has recently set-up a disaster recovery solution for a London based NHS funded research organisation.
BOCC was commissioned to produce and securely host an online system for the commissioning of research projects. This system is currently hosted at BOCC's hosting facility in Oxford.
As part of the disaster recovery plan for the system, BOCC has implemented an off site replicated version of the application. The replication process that has been set up automatically updates the files and databases stored at the Disaster Recovery site in real time.
The BOCC Disaster Recovery Facility is:
- Geographically more than 50 miles from our primary location
- Equipment at the facility is fully owned and managed by BOCC
- During normal operation data can be automatically replicated securely between our primary and disaster recovery facility
- BOCC can manage client owned equipment at the facility
- The facility is designed to be secure and extremely resilient in the event of major telecommunication or electrical power failures

Back-office Integration Services
BOCC has recently completed a consultancy process for A2 Housing Group in order to integrate existing back-office systems with their new website, facilitated by the BOCC CMS (Content Management System).
To provide a number of interactive modules for the website, it is necessary to integrate data regarding properties, contacts and residents with the CMS. Currently this information is held within their existing back-office systems.
BOCC devised a suitable approach with A2 Housing Group to extract the relevant data from the back-office systems. BOCC has specified the setup, configuration of a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN). The VPN will be used to facilitate replication of appropriate data between the back-office systems and the organisation's remotely hosted web servers at BOCC.

Camden CCTV Traffic Enforcement
BOCC has recently enhanced this online service for London Borough of Camden, where traffic contravention data and CCTV images are updated on the site daily from internal systems at Camden.
Due to the success of the project, the system has been extended to now include short video clips in MPEG format as an alternative to static images. The systems and application upgrade was undertaken by BOCC.
Vehicle owners who are identified contravening bus lanes and other traffic regulations can log in to view the images and videos where available by using their Vehicle Registration Number and Penalty Charge Notice number.
