Shelter Website Integration

BOCC have developed a bespoke content management system (CMS) for Shelter, the homelessness charity. The CMS, designed to manage the multiple websites that Shelter operates, is built on earlier technologies created by BOCC for Shelter and included data migration from other sites and further integration with back-office systems.

Thousands of content items were ready for the launch, timed to coincide with the announcement of Shelter's million children campaign. The large project was released on time and to budget.

Search Monitoring

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) core websites are managed using a content management system developed by BOCC. Due to increasing usage and a plan to restructure some of the content, the TUC were interested in analysing how the site search was being used. BOCC developed a bespoke analysis tool to monitor data collected each time the search is run:

• online reporting
• data export
• flexible filtering
• ranking and analysis

Data Protection Consent

BOCC developed a secure web-based personnel record system that allows administrators to input and monitor personal details and work done with the people.

The complex system has been extended to include data on whether each person has given data protection consent. The type of consent required is configurable by organisation and can be either written or verbal. The system then filters tasks and data viewable to the administrators based on the level of consent received and will automatically restrict available tasks if consent is subsequently withdrawn.

ITF Website and Extranet

BOCC have launched a new website and extranet for the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF). The multi-lingual site is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish and Russian.

The extranet area is available for member organisations and includes a secure forum facility.

BOCC undertook systems analysis, specification, project management, informational, graphical and systems design, development, testing and on-site installation.
