Release of Adobe ColdFusion 8

With a host of new features, Adobe has recently released ColdFusion Version 8. BOCC is a specialist in Adobe ColdFusion technologies and this latest version of the software will provide the ideal platform from which to deliver even richer web based applications.

Some of the new features of ColdFusion 8 include:

• Utilising Adobe Flex software, AJAX, or PDF to create engaging applications or generate multi-media, on-demand presentations.
• Easily manipulates images to resize and configure within web applications.
• It is possible to specify any .NET object - either local or remote - and use it in a ColdFusion application, just like any Java or other object resource.
• Applications can dynamically generate and interact with PDF documents and forms to intelligently capture and share information.

Online Events Diary and Booking System

BOCC has recently developed a new online events diary and booking system for Oil and Gas UK. The new online system enables users to view the details for up and coming events, such as seminars and workshops; as well as book and pay for them online.

The new system was developed based upon the existing events diary module and is fully integrated with the website online payments system, that also enables users to purchase publications.

Features of the new events diary include:

• Reduced rate and block booking capabilities
• Notifications of sold-out events to Oil and Gas UK staff
• Downloadable branded VAT receipts as PDF documents
• Free media and press events booking facility
• Full downloadable delegates lists via the secure administration area
• Email alerts faclity for Oil and Gas staff to promote future events

Launch of the YouDu CMS 2007

BOCC is very excited to announce the forthcoming launch of our new content management system - 'YouDu CMS 2007'. The launch is scheduled for Autumn 2007 and will incorporate many new and intuitive user features.

The new CMS has been developed using some of the latest AJAX and Web 2.0 technologies. The system is more modular and lends itself readily to the integration of third-party services. The administration interface has been completely redesigned and incorporates a new 'floating' toolbar providing quick access to commonly used functions.

Standard features of YouDu CMS 2007 include:

• Page management for workflow and rollback options
• Flexible XHTML layout and template options
• Assets library for images, documents, audio and video files
• Custom module to easily integrate with third-party software via web services

TSI Enhances Members' Online Services

Trading Standards Institute (TSI) have just launched a series of enhanced member services, through their TS Interlink secure members' extranet site.

BOCC has undertaken a series of updates that include:

• Companies House XML gateway integration for company name searches.
• Integration of Electronic Trading Standards Network (e-TSN) data with the existing system.
• Further classification and subject tagging for documents and news content.
• RSS Feeds.

The TSI is the leading professional body representing Trading Standards professionals in the UK and overseas - in local authorities, the business and consumer sectors and in central government.

BOCC developed the TSI's flagship product 'TS Interlink' - a secure news, document and mail system extranet for trading standards officers - in 2003. TSOs view up to date and recently issued documents by the TSI, including RAPEX, Safety Notices and Product Recalls. The system also includes collaboration tools like TS Mail and syndication services like TS Broadcast.

Secure extranet and databases all hosted by BOCC.
