Application Support
BOCC's all-embracing application support agreements are proving popular with clients who want a guaranteed level of support to an agreed response time.
The support agreements cover updates, changes and out-of-warranty amendments to web applications. These contracts provide a discounted rate of time charges compared with ad-hoc unscheduled support requests.
The response time options for the annual contracts are:
with a fixed allocation of resource time each month. The system is managed through BOCC's online helpdesk.

SOAP/XML Council Services
BOCC have implemented SOAP/XML processing to render content from the Oxfordshire Gateway on Cherwell District Council's website.
Earlier in the year BOCC updated two Oxfordshire district council web site content management systems (CMS) to allow administrators to tag pages using the Local Government Category List (LGCL). The new work now allows Cherwell's users to search and view data syndicated from the gateway.
The LGCL is an output of the Local Authority Websites (LAWs) national project and is a proposed standard for Local Government, Agencies and Communities to use as a basis for the storage, retrieval and categorisation of any form of content whether it is to be used for a website or other data system.
Classification schemes such as this, and the Community Legal Service classification scheme that BOCC has implemented elsewhere, potentially allow cross-site searching of compliant pages.

Oxford City Council
A new dynamic website for Oxford City Council, redesigned and redeveloped by BOCC, has been launched as part of the Council's ongoing improvement in standards and e-services delivery.
The engaging new design, structure and functional modules form part of the project to meet the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister's BVPI 157 priority outcomes. Additional services will be enabled over the coming months.
Key aspects of the development are:
- Fully content managed, dynamic website
- Standards compliant content delivery
- Dedicated secure and disaster recovery hosting facility
- Replicated database and file data with back-office
- all provided by BOCC.
BOCC are continuing to work with the Council on enabling additional services such as interactive forms, and are also about to launch an intranet.

TUC Learning Services
BOCC has redesigned the Learning Services website to brighten the site and simplify the structure. All design and implementation work was undertaken by BOCC.
The BOCC back end system for content management remains unchanged and all the existing content is simply re-rendered in the new clean design.
The site is split by region and the former national content is now distributed through all the regional areas rather than having a separate 'national-only' section. This information rearrangement, suggested by BOCC, has greatly improved the site's ease of use.
Site and database hosted by BOCC.
