Online Surveys
NHS Confederation appointed BOCC to provide an Online Surveys system for their websites. The surveys had to meet triple-A conformance for the W3C web accessibility initiative (WAI).
BOCC offered its Online Surveys and Consultations module as a solution to provide a high level of survey creation, management and reporting. It meets the accessibility standards when applied to suitable web pages. BOCC also created a graphical interface design for the forms.
BOCC Online Surveys and Consultations includes complex survey logic like routing and branching rules, data range and type validation, data piping and XML export. Completed surveys can optionally also be emailed to the user and administrator.

GIS Mapping
BOCC was approached to integrate a client's back office geographical information system (GIS) with a new accessible web front end. BOCC developed an application to render real-time graphical and textual data to a wide audience using any web browser - even for PDAs and other mobile devices.
The GIS system was Cadcorp SIS (Spatial Information System) and BOCC decided to integrate using web services and Cadcorp's GeognoSIS software. BOCC provided assistance to set up suitable overlays containing the textual data and wrote the interface scripts using Macromedia's ColdFusion. A caching strategy was developed and implemented to reflect the nature and type of user queries expected.
BOCC designed the user interface and also the application of watermarking and copyright details onto the graphical data - application side - since this was more efficient than using the source GIS to undertake this legal requirement.
Address searching was implemented using a data extract from the National Land and Property Gazetteer and the National Street Gazetteer. Database and application hosting by BOCC.

Online Publications
BOCC has completed a new online publications area on the multi-lingual website and extranet for the International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF).
The enhancement now allows publication details, file downloads, thumbnail images and availability data from the back-office systems to be made available on the website. Publication ordering depends upon the language context, publication status and stock levels which are all configured internally by ITF.
Content can be added and managed in the core, fully functional languages of English, French, German, Spanish, Swedish, Portuguese and now Arabic. Other content can also be added in Chinese, Dutch, Indonesian, Italian, Polish, Tagalog and Turkish.
The core website was designed and developed by BOCC originally in March 2004.
