E-forms Connected

Screen capture or illustration of E-forms Connected

BOCC's E-Forms product has been successfully integrated with an existing website and back office systems for West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC). It is integrated in multiple ways:

  1. The gazetteer address search passes forward property reference numbers to e-forms pre-populating data fields
  2. E-forms is embedded within the WODC content management system (CMS) page design
  3. Some e-forms, which require a payment, pass the user seamlessly through to the online payments system provided by BOCC
  4. E-forms data are replicated into WODC's customer relationship management (CRM) system

Moreover, e-forms data relating to waste services, such as missed collections or purchase of new bins, are passed directly onto the cleaning services contractor without manual intervention.

E-Forms, online payments, CMS, web server hosting and design - all by BOCC.

Walking Tours

Oxford City Council are now offering online booking and payment for their popular official city walking tours on their website. Tours are offered for groups and individuals, and special interest subjects such as JRR Tolkein and CS Lewis, Oxford detectives and ghost tours can be arranged.

The booking system, which could be used for other events, was created by BOCC as an additional module for the BOCC Content Management System (CMS). This allows the booking information, request form and secure payment to be handled by a single tool and the user sees a consistent design and addresses.

Payments are processed using BOCC's successful online payments system's miscellaneous payments module which can also be called from third party applications allowing payments to be integrated into a single common system. This means that payments are transferred into back-office systems automatically along with those for items like council tax, business rates, parking fines and invoices.

Systems, databases and website hosting by BOCC.

Extranets

BOCC has completed a secure extranet system on the multi-lingual website for the London headquartered International Transport Workers' Federation (ITF). These extranets include a document library and bulletin board by default, but other functionality may be assigned.

Thus the ITF can now create and manage extranets on demand and choose whether to temporarily inactivate them or remove them completely. User administration rights are undertaken with internal database systems and the data are replicated to the website content management system (CMS).

The website and extranet uses BOCC's CMS. Content can be added and managed in the core, fully functional languages of English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish and Arabic. Other content can also be added in Chinese, Dutch, Indonesian, Italian, Polish, Tagalog and Turkish.

The core website was designed and developed by BOCC originally in March 2004 and has had new functionality added every 3-4 months in an ongoing development programme.

Meta Data Vocabulary

The London Borough of Redbridge (LBR) asked BOCC to implement IPSV (Integrated Public Sector Vocabulary) to bring their public website up to the latest standards. Tagging was added for pages, the A-Z of services and the frequently asked questions module.

The LBR website had previously already complied with meta data for the Local Government Category List (LGCL) as well as for Dublin Core and standard search engine and content labelling. The IPSV is an 'encoding scheme' for populating the e-GMS Subject element which was developed with the backing of the ODPM (Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) and the eGU (Cabinet Office e-Government Unit).

The LBR content management system (CMS) was developed and implemented by BOCC.
