Oxford Cricket Club Sponsorship

BOCC sponsors the Oxford Cricket Club by donating web development and web hosting services.  BOCC developed the Clubs’ current website in 2005.  BOCC is pleased to have been supporting them for the last three years – continuing to provide web hosting and website updates.

Oxford Cricket Club

Oxford Cricket Club’s home is based at the Rover Sports and Social Club in Oxford.  The Club was formed in 1994, the result of a merger between Headington and Cowley St John cricket clubs. Both clubs had enjoyed a long and successful history and had been pillars of the original Cherwell League, winning the title between them in 12 of its 22 years.

In the last 10 years the club has gone from strength to strength and the 1st XI now competes at the highest level of club cricket in the UK, in the Home Counties Premier League. In 2004 the 2nd XI achieved promotion to Division 1 of the Cherwell League, only 2 divisions below the 1st XI. No other 2nd XI has ever achieved this level.

Currently the club is developing a £2 million ‘Cricket Centre of Excellence’ and have received planning permission for its development in Oxford.  Both the English Cricket Board (ECB) and Sport England are supporting this new venture.

Oxford Cricket Club will continue to develop and improve and will be widely recognised as The Centre of Cricketing Excellence in the South of England and BOCC is proud to be associated with the Club.
