Our supportive activities - Who we help
BOCC feel it’s very important to contribute to and support our local community. We demonstrate this in a number of ways, for example BOCC sponsors prizes at Oxford Brookes University; we take on student workplaces over the Summer; and donating our web design and hosting services to Sobell House Hospice Charity.
Our supportive activities have included:
2010
- Supporting Sobel House Hospice charity by donating web design, development and hosting services for their website.
- Sponsoring a prize for postgraduate students in the Department of Computing at Oxford Brookes University - 'BOCC Computer Systems Development (Postgraduate) Award'.
- Donating hosting services to the Plunkett Foundation.
- Donating web development and hosting services to the Oxford Cricket Club.
2009
- Supported the charity 'Endometrisis UK' at Christmas, by making a donation in place of sending out Christmas cards.
- Gold Sponsorship of Oxford Entrepreneurs Idea Idol 2009 competition.
- Supported The National Museum of Computing, (the operating name of Codes and Ciphers Heritage Trust founded by Tony Sale), whose home is in Bletchley Park.
- Sponsoring bursaries and awards for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Computing at Oxford Brookes University - 'BOCC MSc in Web Technology Bursary' and 'BOCC Computer Systems Development (Postgraduate) Award'.
- Donating hosting services to the Plunkett Foundation.
- Donating web development and hosting services to the Oxford Cricket Club.
2008
- Supported the charity Sobell House Hospice at Christmas, by making a donation in place of sending out Christmas cards and client corporate gifts.
- Sponsoring bursaries and awards for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Computing at Oxford Brookes University - 'BOCC MSc in Web Technology Bursary' and 'BOCC Computer Systems Development (Postgraduate) Award'.
- Donating hosting services to the Plunkett Foundation.
- Donating hosting and support services to the Albert Kennedy Trust.
- Donating web development and hosting services to the Oxford Cricket Club.

- Donated to Macmillan Cancer Support sponsoring a London to Paris cycle ride.
- Donated web development and hosting services to the Oxford Cricket Club.

- Supported the charity Thames Valley Animal Welfare at Christmas, by making a donation in place of sending out Christmas cards.
- Sponsored bursaries and awards for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Computing at Oxford Brookes University - called the 'BOCC MSc in Web Technology Bursary' and 'BOCC Computer Systems Development (Postgraduate) Award'.
- Supported and donated to the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning 2006 event for Macmillan Cancer Support.
- Donated hosting services to the Albert Kennedy Trust.
- Donated web development and hosting services to the Oxford Cricket Club.
2005
- Donated hosting services to Shelter for the array of websites we host and maintain on their behalf.
- Supporting our local charity Action for Children in Conflict at Christmas, by making a donation in place of sending out Christmas cards.
- Sponsored a new competition for undergraduate students in the Department of Computing at Oxford Brookes University - called the 'BOCC Computer Systems Development Award'.
- Donated hosting services to the Albert Kennedy Trust.
